What happens next?
What happens after you see your GP depends entirely on the results of the tests that your doctor carried out.
When you visit your GP, you will be assessed. Based on the results of these tests, your doctor may suspect benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), prostate cancer and/or prostatitis. You may be sent to a urologist or treated with drug therapy or lifestyle advice first.
